So the seed has been planted and the plans are growing. It will be winter and cold soon so the trip should go south. How far south? “I may be involved with a job, family and kids before I know it,” replied Clara. “So how about to the end of the world?” Dad’s eye lids rose for a moment. He pondered the notion. Then a smile came across his face and he was in. “Ushuaia or bust!” he replied. The southernmost inhabited city in the world, father and daughter, 18 countries, three different languages, dozens of currencies, several Wonders of the World, crossing of the Panama Canal, the Tropic of Cancer, the Equator, the Tropic of Capricorn, possibly the Antarctic Circle, more than 10,000 miles, AND on a motorcycle! It really will be a trip of a lifetime. One that will afford Clara the opportunity to broaden her perspective, give her time to reflect on her future while being totally unencumbered and, possibly, still learn a few things from her dad (or maybe as with Dillon, dad may learn the most). And, oh yeah, a sore butt!

So as you read this know that future plans are being made, re-evaluated and modified. As preparations take on a final form, Dad and Clara will be updating this website elaborating more on this adventure. The plan is to update this site during the adventure on a weekly basis that will include thoughts, photos and highlights from Dad’s perspective as the rider/father as well as Clara’s view as a passenger/daughter. Perhaps in the process, they will learn from each other. We invite interested family and friends to share in this experience.
