We had to decide whether to cut our time in Gautemala and Honduras so we could see El Salvador or skip El Salvador and spent extra time in Guatemala and Honduras. We chose the latter. Copan, in particular, helped us feel good about making the right decision for us. Additionally, there was a heat wave down near the coast and we were experiencing cool weather in the mountains.
